Rory Feldman, creator of ThurstonMasterMagician.com and creator and founder of  the Museum of Magic had a meeting today with the Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and his associates.  The meeting was to gain support for the Museum of Magic from the Brooklyn Borough President's Office.

February 25, 2008 Rory Feldman Executive Director, Museum of Magic Rory,   I am very excited about the prospect of the Museum of Magic being located in Brooklyn, a very natural place for it to be.  During its 106 year, the Society of American Magicians (founded in NYC)  has had many ties with our borough, Many great magicians had their homes here and  Coney Island was the mecca of magic with stars such as Harry Houdini, Jean Hugard, Al Flosso, Sam Marglies and Dai Vernon among others having performed there.  The Brookyn Academy of Music was the venue for some our great shows and Hardeen, Hugard, Dr. Hooker and others chose to live in Brooklyn .   If  I can help this wonderful project in any way, please let me know. I hope that your museum will bring tourists to our rich and cultural borough.  I am proud to be a resident. George  Schindler Dean Society of American Magicians.
